St. Andrew's has a a number of continuing outreach activities.
Each Monday and Friday two volunteers turn up at Mission Central Elementary School at 7:30 am to help with Breakfast Club. Our most dedicated volunteer attends every Wednesday morning. Through this initiative, we are able to support the wellbeing of children who may have extra challenges in coping with school and life in general.
Our Sip & Stitch handiwork group meets at Carrington House on Tuesday afternoons to encourage residents there to join us.
On Shrove Tuesdays each year we hold a Pancake Supper which is open to the community. The admission donations are given to the Mission Central School Breakfast Club.
We have a Community Pot Luck Supper every year with participation and entertainment by the Valley Singers. Donations are accepted for My House (Mission Youth House).
The Lorna Adair Bridge Tournament, which accepted donations to Mission Hospice, is held every year in May. Each year this is a very enjoyable afternoon, and it continues to attract Mission bridge enthusiasts and raises funds for the Missiion Hospice.
