July 18 at Fraser River Heritage Park in Mission, from 12 to 5pm. We are participating as the United Church of Canada Mid-Fraser Cluster.
We are seeking volunteers for the following roles:
Setup: Pick up tables, tents, and chairs from Trinity Memorial UC in Abbotsford and deliver to the site during our designated setup window (TBA, sometime in the late morning). We also need people to help with loading and with assembly.
Table Greeters: Greet passers-by, answer questions about the United Church of Canada and our Mid-Fraser Cluster generally and our Affirming ministry specifically, connect people to clergy as requested, assist with crafts. We are suggesting two-hour shifts with three people at a time (in addition to clergy). Come prepared to spend a few hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Takedown: Help with disassembly beginning at 5:00. Pack up and deliver tables, tents and chairs to Trinity UC, and assist with unloading.
We may provide some snacks and drinks, but you may wish to pack a meal or be prepared to buy food onsite.
